Perception and Eyes

Perception and Eyes

perception : the top - dowm way our brain organization and interpret that information and put it into context .
perception is the organization , identification ,and interpretation of sensory , information on order to represent and understand the environment .
many classifications of sensory systems exist , most commonly , distinctions are made between five sensory modalities : vision , audition , olfaction , gustation , and somasthesis . the vestibular system , which provides the sense of balance , is also of importance .
sensation : the bottom-up process by which our senses , like vision , hearing and smell , receive and relay outside stimuli . sensory coding : physical stimulus - neural activity .

the optic nerve from each eye splits at what is called the opitic chiasma , the fibers conveying information from the nasal halves of the retinas cross over and go to the opposite sides of the brain , whereas the fibers conveying information from the temporal halves do not cross over.
the neurons of the visual cortex analyze the sensory input for basic features that provide the information on which higher-level processes operate .
gestalt laws of perceptual organization : figure-ground / proximity (display elements that are located close together will tend to be grouped together)/ similarity (display elements that are similar in appearance)/ continuity (figures will tend to be organized along continuous contours) / closure(display elements that make up a closed figure will tend to be grouped together) / common fate ( elements with a common motion will tend to be grouped together) .
display design : physical tools and variables that the display designer may manipulates .( location / color / dimensionality / intensity / motion / visual or auditory modality ).
quantity comparison : linear extent without baseline / linear extent with common baseline / comparison of line lenght , along a single axis / comparison of area / comparison of volume / comparison of hue / comparison of angle .
depth perception : visual cliff experiment . when accurate depth cues are present , good size constancy result .that is , the perceived size of the object dose not vary as a function of the changes in retinal image size that accompany changes in depth  .
environment contains a variety of cues that specify what is out the world .
Analysis --( Object ) :
first give us a example , a man can see the brushes , but he can`t get it . because his brain vision recognize system are broken , so he has no trouble with face m but not make sense of world , in other means , judgement are right , memory are wrong , the problem is he can`t case and able to store signals .
there are some problem between perception and sensation to connect each other , in his perception , he can able to have detailed rich visual mental images ,and in his sensation , he also give the details such as color , shape and so on , but the information ( name ) in his perception , he can`t link them together . In total , he have not the ability force the information from vision world into his brain , to make connect with knowledge he has about the objects .

the pic above is planning on the class , some part I can`t fully understand , so I redesigned it like below :
